On the third Tuesday of February, May, September, and November, the Rockwood Area Historical Society holds its quarterly business meeting and program in the Fellowship Hall of the Rockwood First Congregational Church. Speakers and presenters have included local historians, re-enactors, and musicians. In November and February, these take place at 2:00 pm and in May and September, they occur at 7:00 pm. The Society also sustains the nearby Rockwood Historical Museum, displaying and preserving items of historical interest. As the Rockwood First Congregational Church is the second oldest church in the community, many members and former pastors have been involved in the work of the Society through the years.
